Abut the Judges Education Committee

The ABTC Judges Education committee is dedicated to providing quality educational resources for AKC judges and prospective judges of the Belgian Tervuren.

The original Judges Education committee, consisting of Edeltraud Laurin, chair, Karen Johnson and Barbara Krohn, published the award winning booklet, Breed Type in the Belgian Tervuren, a Guide for Judges (1980), as well as the first hardbound book on the breed,  The Complete Belgian Tervuren, edited by Kay Maves, which was published by Howell Books in 1990. These publications are now out of print. Today the JEC offers an onlne presentation (below), conducts numerous seminars throughout the country, offers ringside mentoring, and hosts an intensive workshop for judges at its National Specialty show.
