The Belgian Sheepdog Club of America (BSCA) and the American Belgian Malinois Club
(ABMC) both voted during 1998 on the following questions regarding
"recombination" of the Belgian breeds:
PART 1 CHOICES
"A" - I favor ONE BREED, with THREE
VARIETIES, and a SINGLE PARENT CLUB, with each variety shown for separate points, and with
group representation.
"B" - I favor THREE BREEDS as they
currently exist with the THREE PARENT CLUBS.
Results - Part 1
BSCA:
Total "A" votes 178. That is 49.9% of votes cast.
Total "B" votes 179. That is 50.1% of votes cast.
ABMC:
Total "A" votes 78. That is 48.4% of votes cast.
Total "B" votes 83. That is 51.6% of votes cast.
PART 2 CHOICES
"B" - I favor THREE BREEDS as they
currently exist with the THREE PARENT CLUBS.
"C" - I favor ONE BREED with THREE
VARIETIES and THREE VARIETY PARENT CLUBS.
Results - Part 2
Votes only of those persons who voted in favor of "B" in Part 1,
whereas the ABTC accepted votes from all voting in Part 1.
BSCA:
Total "B" votes 148. That is 82.7% of votes cast.
Total "C" votes 32. That is 17.3% of votes cast.
ABMC:
Total "B" votes 56. That is 68.3% of votes cast.
Total "C" votes 26. That is 31.7% of votes cast.
